After a year since Apple iPhone’s debut, the iPhone 3G has finally arrived in the market. Apple iPhone 3G is the new version of the Apple iPhone. Physically, you will find that the new iPhone 3G is not that different from the original iPhone. iPhone 3G is a little thicker in the middle, a little thinner on the edges, the face is a little bit wider than the older model and the buttons are made up of metal unlike in the older model in which the buttons were made up of plastic. The back of the phone is made up of plastic unlike in the original iPhone in which the back is made up of metal.

The big changes are in the insides, namely 3G and the GPS which makes the new iPhone 3G much more popular than the original iPhone. 3G is the faster digital data connection. So, basically when you are on a cellular network and use 3G, browsing becomes much faster as compared to the 2G network the old iPhone supported. It becomes 2 to 4 times faster when you are browsing the internet. GPS lets your phone know about the exact location a lot better than the old iPhone method. The old iPhone method was the wi-fi and the cell towers, however, the new iPhone can actually communicate with the GPS satellites and can pin point your location much more precisely.

There some other exciting news on the iPhone front and it’s the new iPhone 2.0 software. The new iPhone 3G comes with the 2.0 software which opens up a range of possibilities since one of the new things that comes with the software is the App Store. The App Store is a way for you to download new programs directly to your iPod touch and iPhone. These programs are not just from Apple but also from lots of other 3^rd parties. Some of the programs can be downloaded for free while some of them cost between 5 to 10 dollars.

With all the new programs such as the twitter client, the instant message client, lots of games, etc, there are some other features such as the business servers which are pretty helpful for the users who are into big businesses. The biggest reason for the popularity of the phone is that it comes at a much cheaper price as compared to the original iPhone. So, is buying the new iPhone 3G a good decision? If you already own the older model, taking the decision becomes much harder unless you really want that super fast 3G networking.
